Our Ops team is currently investigating an issue regarding errors with assets in the apps framework
During this incident, Zendesk app framework assets did not load, resulting in Zendesk apps not loading for some customers. There were 2 reasons for the assets not loading. First, a proxy node was autoscaled (or added as a new proxy node) and not all assets were deployed to it. Secondly, assets were not deployed because the App Framework SDK was not deployable. After identifying the issue, our operations team rolled back to a previous version of the asset configuration and the assets loaded normally again. In order to prevent this from happening again in the future, we are moving assets from the proxy node to a static asset pipeline, adding additional alerting and monitoring when assets are not available, and updating our runbook to ensure that assets are fully migrated when adding proxy nodes and deploying.
