During this incident some customers experienced intermittent connectivity issues connecting to our Sacramento and Dublin Data Centers. In an effort to preemptively mitigate DDoS attacks, we’ve enabled an always-on DDoS mitigation service. During a maintenance window scheduled by the vendor, the failover between tunnels failed to happen, causing all traffic reaching our Sacramento and Dublin Data Centers to be dropped. We removed the DDoS mitigation service from our Sacramento and Dublin configuration to resolve the issue. This issue is similar to the one that occurred later on the same day.
