Mail fetcher service stopped working on one of our servers at around 10:20am UTC. This stopped ticket conversion from Gmail for some hours. The service was restarted immediately, which resolved the issue. The service malfunction was due to a change performed in the morning, introducing a network glitch that left the service in an anomalous state. Our Operations team are still investigating the root cause of this incident but we are planning to promptly improve monitoring of the mail fetcher service.
