The performance issues previously reported have now been resolved. Apologies for the inconvenience.
This incident was caused by an application running on a single customer's account. Queries sent by this application led to an increased load on a server in our EU data centre, resulting in slowness and affected performance for other customers whose accounts are located on the same servers. To resolve this, we have temporarily disabled the application, after which the service restored back to normal.
To prevent further recurrences, we are increasing capacity in our data centres to better handle query spike; as well as working on optimising app performance by liaising with developers of individual apps and improving our throttling mechanisms.
