Our Operations team have fully resolved today's issues with bulk actions and exports for some customers.
A code update with unexpected side effects, deployed earlier that day, triggered a chain of bulk updates for many tickets in our European and US East Coast data centres. This caused slowness and delays, especially in performing bulk actions. It took some time to investigate and pinpoint the root cause of the slowness; however, as soon as discovered, the deploy was carefully reverted and the queue cleaned which repaired the slowness for Zendesk customers.
We're reviewing the deploy methodology to update tickets in batches, rather than all at the same time, to prevent similar incidents going forward.
