- 3:21pm PST - Continuing to investigate widespread service impacting issues affecting customers. We appreciate your patience as we continue to investigate.
- 3:45pm PST - We have identified the likely cause of this issue and service has resumed to normal. We will continue to closely monitor.
This incident was a result of a disruption to DNS services by our provider, resulting in complete service disruption/inability to access the Zendesk application.
To resolve, we fell back to our secondary failover service for DNS. Team was able to deduce the issue was DNS related and agreed this was the appropriate step to restore services.
To reduce the probability of further incidents, we have added some extra Pingdom tests for DNS so we're able to monitor for any instability and respond faster.
