All partners that wish to be a part of the Zendesk Apps Marketplace will be required to include the following custom headers for any requests to the Zendesk API from an external source. These do not need to be applied to API calls from apps using the Zendesk Apps Framework.
- “X-Zendesk-Marketplace-Name”: This should be used to name of the integration and can change over time.
- “X-Zendesk-Marketplace-Organization-Id”: This should be the Organization ID for your organization from the new developer portal. This should be static and should never change.
- “X-Zendesk-Marketplace-App-Id”: This is the “App ID” that will be assigned to you when you submit your app. Please make sure your team is aware that this will need to be updated once you submit the app.
X-Zendesk-Marketplace-Name:"App Name for Zendesk"
As part of the app submission process for the Zendesk Apps Marketplace, Zendesk will verify these headers are present on a specific test account designated during the submission process before approving the app for inclusion into the Zendesk Apps Marketplace.
For existing Zendesk Apps Marketplace partners, we will be reaching out to the specified contacts for your organization to request and verify this change. At this time, we do not have a set timeline for requiring the completion of this for existing partners.
For any partners applying for a new Integration App type for the Zendesk Apps Marketplace, we will be enforcing this policy starting July 30th, 2017.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding the implementation of this, please contact email@example.com for further assistance.
